NJCEDV

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual

& Transgender Task Force

We have a vision that ALL people will be accepted and affirmed and that LGBT people have access to survivor informed domestic and sexual violence services within our communities.
Who We Are

NJCEDV’s LGBT+ Task Force is a safe and inclusive group which promotes community awareness, education and training to affect systemic change to ensure safe and accessible services for LGBT survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Our goal is to provide training to educate all staff members of domestic violence programs and the community. One does not need to be part of the LGBT+ community to be a part of the Task Force, Allies are welcome! During our monthly meetings, we discuss relevant topics, share resources and discuss best practices.

Purpose of LGBT Task force
  • To help improve survivors within the LGBT community access to domestic violence services
  • To provide information to the LGBT community regarding domestic violence
