The Impact of Trauma on Neurobiology and the ACE Study

This training will describe the neurodevelopment of the brain and how the brain adapts to significant stress during childhood resulting in changes in emotional, cognitive and social development. Basic anatomy and function will be described and the three threat responses discussed. This basic knowledge will deepen understanding of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study by Vincent Felitti and Robert Anda.
