Director of Residential Services (Full-Time)
Summary: The Director of Residential Services ensures respectful, compassionate, survivor-centered responses to all persons seeking residential and hotline services, as well as overseeing services to women and families residing in all YWCA residential programs including Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, Supportive Housing, and supported Permanent Housing.
Requirements: Candidates must have a master’s degree, residential, domestic violence work experience, and a minimum of 2 years counseling and supervisory experience. Significant knowledge and sensitivity to issues of domestic violence and homelessness and the intersections of domestic violence with other oppressions, as well as familiarity with addiction issues, welfare advocacy and immigration law is required. Bilingual/bicultural skills strongly preferred. High level of written, verbal, interpersonal skills; intermediate PC skills are required.
Essential duties: The Director of Residential Services is responsible for the overall management of all YWCA residential programs including Emergency Shelter, Supportive and Transitional Housing, Permanent Housing, and the 24-Hour Hotline. The Director supervises all residential staff and services including crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, case management, and support groups. The Director is also responsible for the collection and reporting of monthly data and ensuring compliance with all funder requirements. The Director will ensure that staff receive required training and supervision, and compliance with all safety protocols. The Director is responsible for attendance in all agency and community meetings as appropriate.
The Director of Residential Services must have an ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, have excellent supervisory skills, and create group consensus. The Director must have the ability to work under pressure, within deadlines and possess a strong work ethic.
